Collect

How do I Collect my Media from my PC?
If you're on a Windows PC, you have two choices. You can A) Upload your media to VUVOX or B) install the Drag'n'Use plug-in, which allows you to instantly preview your media with no upload or waiting.

Install the Drag'n'Use Plug-in Now

File Size 2.1 MB
Download Time Approx 20 Sec.
Browser Firefox and IE

( 2.1 MB )

If you're on a Mac, we currently only support Flash 8's multiple file upload. Stay tuned for a nice Drag'n'Use plug-in for the Mac.

What is the largest file I can upload?
Currently, the max upload size is 100MB. If you have a larger video file, you may attempt to clip it using some other software on your desktop and then upload the useful portion of the video. VUVOX supports numerous sites, so you can easily upload your photos to Flickr or your YouTube

Browsers and Flash

What browsers can I use?
On Windows we support Internet Explorer 6.0+ and Firefox 1.5+. On the Mac, we support Safari 1.03+ and Firefox 1.5+. Mac users may see slower playback performance since we're using Flash, which has some performance issues on older Macs.

The Home Page keeps asking me to install something. What's going on?
Sounds like you're having a problem with the Macromedia Flash plugin. If you're using Internet Explorer, you will need to restart your browser for the plugin to register correctly. This is an Internet Explorer/Windows issue only.

Can I use VUVOX on Linux?
At this point, Flash 8/9 does not run on Linux, so VUVOX will not work. As soon as Macromedia releases a Linux compatible version of Flash 8/9, we'll get on it.

MyVOX page and Channels

What's the difference between public and private content?
Public content is visible to everyone on the VUVOX.com site. By default, Private content is viewable on VUVOX.com by the owner only. However, if you send a link to your Private content to someone by email (or post the link on another website), anyone who clicks on the link will be able to see the Private content. You can also send your Private content to a Group and it will be visible there. If the Group is public, anyone on VUVOX.com will be able to see your content.
