Kids, Get Your Parents' Permission!
VUVOX is NOT for people under the age of 13. If you are under 13 years of age, please do not visit VUVOX. Teens ages 13-17 are welcome, if they have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Think before going Public….
While we encourage sharing and expression, posting personal media of yourself, your friends, or your family should be a thoughtful process. Once posted in a public forum it may become one of our member’s favorites or end up on the VUVOX front page. If your expression is personal, consider marking it private so that only your friends and those you share it with can view it.
Here are a few tips:
Protect Your Secret Identity!
If you do post your media publicly, make sure there isn't anything in them that could help a stranger figure out who you are or where you live. Personal information like your telephone number or home address should NEVER be shared with other users. Watch out for things like license plate numbers on cars or images of the outside of your home which might accidentally appear in the background of a video and help a stranger to track you down.
If someone asks you for your personal information, our suggestion is don’t give it out. If someone poses as a VUVOX employee and seeks personal information, don’t provide it. Let us know if this has happened to you by sending us a message at: vuvoxcustomerservice.com
Posting Comments
When you post a channel you can choose whether you want to let people comment on your stories. If someone leaves a comment on your channel that bothers you, you can always delete the comment.
VUVOX is a great place to express and share your life experience. We want you to enjoy and respect the community that has come together to share. A word that we like is “respect”. If we all come to this site with an abundance of respect for each other, everyone’s experience can be positive.
If you cross the line…
Violations of the Terms of Use may result in a warning notification or may result in termination of your account and deletion of your channel(s). We decide whether we believe your violation of our Terms of Use should result in termination of your account. If you have an account terminated you are prohibited from ever signing up for another account ! You will also loose your channels.
Help us, help you….
Some of the content on VUVOX may offend you—if you find that it violates our Terms of Use, then click "Flag as Inappropriate” to submit it for review by VUVOX staff. When a channel or story gets flagged as inappropriate, we review the media to determine whether it violates our Terms of Use. If we remove your channel or media after reviewing it, please take our warning notification seriously.
